The purpose of the City Scholarship is to provide educational funds to support a student planning to attend Dance City dance school. With our provision, we understand that there are students with potential and a strong desire to dance, but do not have the means, and we want to provide them with an opportunity to do so. The scholarship will be awarded to a male or female student who will be judged based on talent, technical skill, determination, and economic need. Recipient must maintain 95% attendance to maintain scholarship.

Applicant must express an interest and/or may have prior experience in the performing arts.
Applicant may be asked to create and perform a dance piece, their style of choice (1 minute minimum).
Applicant must provide accurate documentation to show significant financial need.
Applicant approval may be determined through an interview with student,
Recipient must maintain 95% attendance at Dance City.

We hope that everyone understands the high request for scholarships. We will do our best to review each application as soon as possible. If the applicant is eligible, but the scholarship spots have been filled, he/she will be placed on our waiting list in the order that the application is received.

Scholarships are awarded in collaboration with our partnering non-for-profit One City.
One City is a registered 501(c)3 and will take donations in forms of scholarship on behalf of Dance City. All donations to One City are 100% tax deductible.
